A horizon walker learns total dominance over the terrain he has already selected for Favored Terrain. Terrain dominance grants additional abilities for each of the character's Favored Terrains, detailed below.
You may change your current favored terrain if you'd like.
TERRAIN DOMINANCE: The horizon walker gains the following benefits depending on his Favored Terrain (whether he's in that terrain type or not).
Natural Terrains
- Arctic Environmental Resistance (Cold).
- Desert Ignore 1 point of Fatigue penalty.
- Forest Free reroll on failed Stealth checks.
- Jungle The horizon walker is not Distracted while Bound and can climb at full pace.
- Mountain Gain the effects of the Wall Walker power at all times.
- Plains Treat Strength as one die type higher when determining Encumbrance and Minimum Strength to use armor, weapons and equipment.
- Rivers and Seas: The character can swim at normal walking Pace. If they already can do this, their swimming Pace increases by 6.
- Swamp: Free reroll on failed Notice rolls and can move at normal Pace in all difficult terrain.
- Underground: Gain Darkvision, or Night Vision if you already have Darkvision.
- Urban Free reroll on failed Persuasion rolls.
Planar Terrains
- Astral Plane The horizon walker can teleport to any point within their pace as their movement. This ignores any obstacles such as cliffs or even walls as long as they can see the point they teleport to.
- Elemental Plane of Air Increase flying Pace by +6
- Elemental Plane of Earth Armor +2
- Elemental Plane of Fire Environmental Resistance (Fire).
- Elemental Plane of Metal Metal weapons you wield gain an additional 2 Armor Piercing
- Elemental Plane of Water The character can swim at normal walking Pace. If they already can do this, their swimming Pace increases by 6.
- Elemental Plane of Wood Can photosynthesize in lieu of sleep.
- Ethereal Plane Ignore Illumination penalties to see living creatures.
- Outer Plane +1 on attack rolls against creatures connected to this plane, plus a flavorful ability linked to that plane.
