Faeries used their magical tricks to triumph over the trolls in their long-ago conflict. Yes, the faeries fought these hulking brutes—but only after first chipping away at their defenses with a dazzling range of curses. The trolls soon learned to use caution when confronting their foes, lest they turn to stone, go blind, or lose their minds to madness. This path enables you to do ugly things to anyone who crosses your path.

Level 7 Eyebiter

Deflect Curse (Magical): When you would become cursed, you can use a reaction to deflect the affliction from yourself and onto a creature within 5 yards. If the cursed affliction has a (luck ends) duration, the creature makes rolls to end it with 1 boon.

Vexing Curse (Magical): You can use an action to sketch a fiery profane symbol in the air and send it flying from you. Target one creature within 5 yards, then make an Intellect roll with 1 boon against the target’s Agility. On a success, the target becomes cursed and vulnerable (luck ends both). At level 8, the target also becomes weakened (luck ends).

Spells: One Expert

Spiteful Curse (Magical): When a creature cursed by you takes damage, it takes an extra 3d6 damage. A creature can take this extra damage just once per round.

Level 10 Eyebiter

Health: +12

Spells: One master

Mass Curse (Magical): You can use an action to target any number of creatures within 5 yards of you. Each target becomes cursed, vulnerable, and weakened (luck ends all). You then lose access to this talent (luck ends).

Tormenting Curse (Magical): When a creature you have cursed that is within 5 yards of you gets a success on an attribute roll, you can use a reaction to turn that success into a failure.
