Transmuter
Most legends point the finger at the trolls for why so many monsters creep and crawl through the countryside. Story after story tells of how they bred horrid things and directed them to kill their hated enemies, the faeries. However, the fey deserve some of the blame as well. They made extensive use of transformative magic, casting spells that could warp the body into appalling forms.
It is from these first flesh-sculptors the transmuters learn their craft. The ancient methods inform many of the techniques used to enhance, change, and remake allies and enemies alike. Sometimes they use their art to protect themselves from hazards and foes, give them the means to overcome obstacles, but they find their witchery useful for punishing those fools who dare stand in their path. Then again, many find their magic amusing and take no little delight in the wickedness they work.

Level 7 Transmuter
Attributes: Increase three attributes by 1 each

Vexing Transformation (Magical): You can use an action to target any number of creatures within 10 yards, all inside a Size 5 space. This talent affects targets with Health of 15 or less automatically. Targets with Health scores between 16 and 49 make a Strength roll; on a failure they are affected. Targets with Health scores of 50 or higher are immune to this effect. A creature affected by this talent becomes a harmless animal (see minor polymorph in Shadow, page 82). You can use this talent a number of times equal to half your level, regaining expended uses after you rest.
Level 8 Transmuter
Health: +6
Spells: One master
Agonizing Change (Magical): You can use an action and expend a use of Vexing Transmutation to target any number of creatures within 10 yards, all inside a Size 5 space. Each creature takes 3d6 damage and makes a Strength roll. On a failure, it takes an extra 3d6 damage and becomes weakened and vulnerable (luck ends both). These afflictions arise due to the bizarre and painful transformations this talent produces.
Level 10 Transmuter
Health: +6
Spells: One master
Dread Transformation (Magical): Whenever you use Vexing Transformation, all enemies with line of sight to you make a Will roll. On a failure, the enemy becomes frightened of you (luck ends).
Potent Transformation (Magical): When you use Vexing Transformation, you can double the Health thresholds of the effect by expending all castings for one master spell that you know. Thus, creatures with Health scores of 30 or less transform automatically. paths of faerie 45 paths of faerie
