**Duration:** Instantaneous

A serpentine rune appears on the target weapon and writhes in place. The rune imposes 1 bane on rolls to attack made using the weapon. When the wielder gets a success on a roll to attack with the weapon, the wielder makes a luck roll: On a failure, the weapon’s Health drops to 0 and the success becomes a failure. On a success or a failure, the spell ends.
