Wild Cards

Player characters and unique/powerful allies, villains and monsters are known as “Wild Cards,” while town guards, minions, lackeys and townspeople are referred to as “Extras.”

The town guard standing by the gate is likely an extra, but Captain of the Guard Embar Telwyn is probably a Wild Card.

Wild cards have two things that distinguish them:

• They can take 3 Wounds before they're Incapacitated.
• They roll a Wild Die (usually a d6) along with their Trait die when making Trait rolls and takes the highest of the two.
